Fabian uses many of the similar materials used by other carvers in addition to stones as mohave turquoise on his badgers, horned toads or snakes. Fabians's style is intricate and precise in nature. His carvings are some of the most realistic and beautiful carvings made today at Zuni Pueblo. Fabian and his family members have directed fetish carving towards a contemporary and realistic presentation of Zuni fetishes.
