Max Laate is a talented Zuni carver who makes bears and eagles from antler, apple coral and other interesting stone. Max and his brother Pernell began carving in the 1980s making very detailed fetishes that are sought after by a wide range of Zuni collectors. Max's nephew, Derrick Kaamasee, is also an accomplished Zuni fetish carver. | ||
